Hi! First I would like to say thank you for checking out my page and welcome you to our #TincherPitching #FluidDynamics movement. I am so glad to have grasped your attention and I cannot wait to tell you a little more about not only myself but our methods and why we do what we do. I’m Kate Olson. Originally from the small state of Delaware, I have since relocated to Virginia Beach in the summer of 2018.

I started out playing softball at the age of four (who doesn’t love a good t-ball game) and to say I was hooked would be an understatement. My parents soon found their evenings filled with dirt, laughter and hours of practices but it created some of the fondest memories in my life with them. I didn’t start pitching until the age of eight and ultimately found myself rotating through pitching instructors. I would constantly find myself sore, worn down, over worked and sometimes even hurt. I fought the process of pitching even though I absolutely loved doing it and playing the game. Fast forward a few years, a few accolades and I signed on to play at Wilmington University (a DII program located in Delaware). While attending WU I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies as well as a Master of Science in Public Administration. Softball opened the door for me to further my education while also doing what I loved and staying close to home. Definitely a WIN WIN all around!

You might be wondering how I found out about Tincher Pitching especially since I was not exposed to this method until after my collegiate career had wrapped up. Two fantastic women (whom I played softball with at Wilmington University) started doing their certification through Denny and I was loving their results with their kids. I was currently conducting pitching lessons and while my players were progressing I could absolutely tell that there would be a time in which they would plateau. I not only wanted to better myself as an instructor but also better my kids if given the opportunity. I reached out to Denny and I discovered a pitching technique based on natural movement that promised efficient, fluid technique specifically designed for the female body. The rest is history. Now I am fully committed to teaching your daughters the importance of body movements, body awareness as well as mental toughness.

Softball as a whole has brought great meaning to my life. It has taught me invaluable lessons that I can say I would have not learned otherwise. This sport (as well as my parent’s tough love) has provided me with a work ethic unparalleled to most. I have also been blessed to have made many strong relationships through out the years and I have continued to grow and gain new friendships throughout this process.
